Even if one isn't a fan of her style of work, I'd still say watching her progress videos are worthwhile for how soothing they are.

Realism should stay in fine art. The style is too complex and cluttered to work for the more descriptive mediums of illustration and animation, and trying to compromise with semi-realism a-la American comics just results in the worst of both worlds, having neither the rich detail and vividness of realism, nor the clarity and flexibility of abstraction.

At least I said something. Your post is fucking nothing. If you at least said why I'm wrong you'd be moving the discussion forward.

I can't stand 4chan types like you. You don't feel the need to engage in any real discussion because you think you're too epic for it or some shit. Get that shit out of here.

Mediums don't do anything well. Artists do.

Sometimes I wonder about the purpose of illustrating or painting. Growing up, I always had the assumption that it was something your put out in front of people to increase their mood, but I didn't consider it beyond that. Now that I've been working on drawing again, I'm starting wonder how it was applied beyond being display pieces. What affect does it have on the creator of the piece itself.

Americans don't put too much importance on mental health, so sometimes it's easy to say there's not use to a piece of illustration beyond conveying information. I almost fell in to that trap once, until my own brain started acting funky, and I had to accept the reality of that a functioning mind is more than a wealth of knowledge.

Imagine a comic made entirely up of photos of actors. Add in little speech bubbles and captions. Do you really think that's worth reading, even as an experiment? Because that's just russian patreon porn shit lol

I know 4chan hates it, and I used to dislike it too, but over time it's grown on me a lot. It's got the same sort of "naked beauty" to it that I love in web 1.0 sites and 80s/90s operating systems, only it's in the context of architecture

Too geometric for my tastes. It'd be great if that "trendy" gray tower on the side didn't exist, and I understand the function of the tilted ceiling, but it reminds me too much of school buildings. Remove those two aspects, and I think I'd like it much better.
Also, the big label on the side that says "BAUHAUS", that's just obnoxious.

It's too utilitarian, designed only to fulfill it's purpose and nothing else. There is no spirit in it and no beauty to it. However, it's not ugly either. It's just a building.

Poorfag word war loser tier, but paradoxically not that bad when you consider that and the influence it had.
I don't know much about architecture but in that era I prefer art deco and especially art nouveau although it's a bit older

The thing I find the most off putting about this sort of posting is that I've never met anyone passed 2008 that used emotes like "XD" or even "UwU" without it dripping with passive aggressive irony. Perhaps it's because I don't hang out on discord? I still go to a traditional forum on the side and I still don't see that stuff.

Who is this meant to mock?

I think "uwu" and "owo" are used ironically. "XD" I haven't seen much in recent times, either ironically or unironically.
