Anyone here currently living in japan?
If so, how did you do it?
I'm recently considering to move there, my life here is just not going where I wanted it to go. I'm about to drop out of my studies, and I don't have any direction at all after that. I'm just getting older and older and the way this is going I'm either going to off myself in a few years or ill work some stupid job at a burger restaurant or something. And if that's the case I might aswell do that in japan right?
What I been considering is that I would go there on a tourist visa which would give me 90 days to find a job there, and then change it to a work visa which would increase the period up to 5 years. My japanese is about N2-3 so that should suffice but obviously I still have to brush up on it.
But it does seem very risky. I'm not sure how easy it is to find work as a foreigner since they don't seem to be too liked there.
Just felt like writing all this I don't know. If you got some input or whatever feel free.

Japan is a nice place to visit and they make good media, but living there isn't really all that great. The Japanese lifestyle is extremely stressful unless you're an outright NEET.

I would usually have the same opinion on this actually.
But my home country hasn't been that pleasant to live in either in the recent years. If I was in japan I could at least indulge in my hobbies properly, which I can't do here.

About the stress of working there, I don't know how hard that would apply if I just worked some trashy job at a fastfood place or whatever else, but I guess I won't do too good with work either way so it's probably somewhat similar?

Japan is not some promised land unless you are wapanese. I have the sneaking suspicion their media is so good because of what awaits them after high school. It's like crack cocaine to the rest of the world. If you do move to Japan, you'll likely be making it a worse place and the hive mind does not look kindly on that.

Why do I feel like I've already seen this thread? And why is it at the top when the last reply isn't recent?

Come to think of it, wasn't this thread full of normal posts? Don't tell me it was randomly nuked?

Why even take the time to develop an archive button if he's going to delete every single post? Ones that don't even violate the rules at that.

Most of the posts were arguing about refugees. Originally the argument concluded with people losing interest, until some dickhead showed up and started bumping it, trying to reignite things

Vermin deleted all of the posts made after the argument started, probably because he didn't want that sort of thread cluttering up the board and attracting undesirables to the site.
