Seems pretty kewl but I've never gotten around getting into it. Maybe this year
>>4You can practice with a program called stellarium.
My eye hurts. I shouldn't have looked at the moon so long, through my telescope.
How come there was a lunar eclipse this month and I don't see it listed anywhere?
>>7Because the new hype for a slow news day is a `````````````super moon''''''''''''''' rather than a lunar eclipse.

South of east tonight, after 2AM, i.e. after you check the flanfly thread if you live in EST, you can see both Jupiter and the moon.
You may also some of Jupiter's moons, even in a Walmart-quality telescope like mine.
In my telescope, I can barely see Jupiter's stripes, but I can definitely see them.
I saw Mercury for the first time, today. Now I've seen all five planets easily visible to the naked eye, in my telescope.
