Every spampost seems to be the same, how hard would it be to just reject posts that look like that?

the bots are typically from servers infected with malware. maybe the owner doesn't even look at his spam operation anymore and just sends out occasional orders from a hidden service.

looks as if keeping some CloudFlare verification going would be helpful. Normally with it off there would be a page of spam

Seems like it stopped not just the spam, but also everyone else from posting.

The irony of communities is that any type of activity drives new activity. Kind of already knew the theory on Kissu but the complete silence after removing spam makes posting seem less welcome

Well, it couldn't hurt I suppose, as long as the spam isn't terribly harmful, but it's usually a great annoyance
