How do I learn to get into programming? Is there a book to read?
I originally learnt with AP computer science, to which there's no official book, but there are official syllabi.https://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/You can learn Java just by working on the links at the tops of the lists.However, I've forgotten Java as I only use one language often now: C.It does have a book. The C Programming Language, second edition, by Brian Kernighan and Dennis Ritchie. It assumes you can already program, though. Just not in C.The languages I see people recommend as a first language are Java, Python, and Scheme.
Just by doing it. If you don't like it you can stop at any moment.
