He's just a spammer. Honestly he deserves worse than spam in his own server but no teenager on the internet is dumb enough to use their first name on public profiles anymore

Shitting on discord is this generation's version of shitting on reddit, where most of the complaints are from people who never used it and are just complaining about a popular thing being popular.

I can see why he would complain. It's basically a chat client made for annoying meme obsessed teenbros, but its a good place to have discussions with people that have similar hobbies (although that discussion would still mainly be held on forums if discord and reddit didnt kill them). This is OP btw

The only reasons I don't use it is because I am a huge freetard and basically what >>8 said

IRC is cool, but it's harder to be an attention whore there and you can't send pictures without uploading them to tinypic. Only certain chans/wikis/secret clubs use it now.

IRC's issue is that it's really dated and clunky. It makes a lot of little but necessary things just hard enough that most people would consider learning them to be a waste of time

There's a lot of channels where people still talk on rizon, but they're all weirdos and it feels like they've all known each other for years.

Pretty much all the channels I'm in are dead. I used to go on one every day but it's been pretty dead probably, two years now? I would like to still talk to people more frequently on IRC, as I like using it a lot more than something like Discord and in my experience the average user is more pleasent to talk to. I don't doubt there are active channels but I'm not on them. I would be curious if people have channels they like, though, I would feel a bit odd in a channel full of people who all know each other. Hell does shitaba have an IRC, doesn't seem to, maybe someone should make one or board specific ones.

I was pretty much in something kinda like that, but like I said it died, a shame.

yeah I wasn't saying that it's bad, it's just that it's hard to integrate for newcomers since it's tight-knit.
>Hell does shitaba have an IRC

There's one on rizon but I've never been there. I don't know if it's official or not.
