I was rewatching Tokyo Mew Mew a few months ago, ended up not finishing it because I had a bit of an overload with the amount of shows I was watching at the time.

I'm thinking about picking it back up.

I remember that show airing as Mew Mew Power when I was younger, but I never got in to it like Sailor Moon. The most I remember Mew Mew for is the myriad of YouTube fan animations made using MS Paint and the like. Fanime was a guilty pleasure of mine for a while, and I guess watching that stuff gave me a craving for the real thing.

For a while most of the MS shows I watched were of the male-aimed sort like Madoka, though I ended up missing Nanoha. I tried Prisma Illya, and enjoyed it a lot up until Kuro came along. I may be a weird prude for saying this, but I really disliked the sudden shift in to softcore porn that came with Kuro, and enjoyed Prillya as a cute action show up until then. I also have the Magical Girl Raising Project books in reach, and I've definitely enjoyed the directions things have taken with second novel.

The fanservice in Prillya wan't that much but they could've done without it or lowered the intensity. Almost everyone who hears about the show lately sees only those few scenes and all the threads just end up being candy for the dick.

Tbh I don't like how it became more like a regular action manga when they went to Miyu's world. Also when is Illya going to get the fuck out of there and return to her onii-chan and her friends? They must be worried

My first impression of the show were Illya threads, which were largely softcore porn dumps and people posting fantasies about what they would do to their favorite cup. I initially wrote the series off for this, as I found the threads to be obnoxious to read and despite the occasional speak about the latter parts of the series, it gave the impression that the entire series was just wank bait. I didn't think it was fair to judge the show like that though, so I gave it a shot, and was surprised at how much I liked it. The only thing that really turned me off was, honestly, most things surrounding Kuro. Lewdness aside, I just did not find her particularly compelling at all. I couldn't really get myself to care for he plight despite it being an important part of the story, and I often just ended up feeling for Illya because she was concerned about being replaced by Kuro. Perhaps I just need to continue the series to have her grow on me more.

I did hear about the Shiro portion of the story, and caught a bit of the Prillya movie as well. It seemed intense if a bit typical (Best Onii-chan protecting his Imouto across dimensions), though I can understand that the lack of super heroine action can get annoying. I know it would be annoying if during a PreCure series, a whole arc was suddenly dedicated to one of the Cure's siblings who was secretly a Kamen Rider.

In my opinion you should never judge a show or comic based on how cancerous the threads (read: fans) are, but rather you should judge it based on its own merits.

Started watching through this show a little while back, and I'm surprised at how much I am enjoying it. Though I'm sad to say I kind of relate to having two friends who seem to hate each other , haha.

Has it been confirmed that the Doremi visual novels are getting animated?

I'm finally watching Cardcdaptor Sakura for the first time, which is the first time I'll be watching a magical girl series that wasn't late-night anime. It's quite enjoyable so far. I really enjoy how Sakura wears so many different clothes and Kero's highlights on each of the costumes.

People really did Wedding Peach dirty. It was a fun and charming little show.

I think I've only seen this on TV in the past when it would get dubbed into English. I should try to give the show a proper watch now.
