ITT post the good memories you had with any of the kiss.sites or anime streaming sites in general
>streamingI kid. There are better streaming sites out there but none with such an extensive catalog with a high likelihood of finding comments even under obscure releases that I know of at least. Their comics and cartoons sister sites with similar branding are underappreciated. Things weren't quite as cozy after the new captcha. I suppose my specific adblock settings for Kiss are obsolete now.
I've only watched two shows through streaming, Death Note and Monster. Then I discovered /a/ and being the impressionable child I was I started to torrent just because /a/ told me to. Truth is video quality didn't matter for 90% of shows I've watched because they had crappy to mediocre art and animation which the higher video quality only made more painfully obvious.
I tried to use the site once, it banned for 2 days for using an adblocker.
>>3Streaming is good for those cases where the act of watching a show in general is more interesting than the individual work itself, if that makes any sense. Think channel surfing but with a twist.
キタ━━━(゚∀゚)━━━!!
>>7I don't get it, why would they disable shonen?
>>8because the kind of users that suffered kissanime and its ads only watch shonenshit. I guess they don't want them
idc faggotkeep it to yourself if you have nothing to add
I don't like your attitude.
>>9I checked, it was because the influx of users was overloading the bandwidth.
why don't the people who used kissanime just download their anime
>>111. It's a large centralized source for a lot of different stuff2. Some people would rather not have to download an entire series to their computer (or even an entire episode) that they may or may not ever return to. Streaming in the traditional sense is just fine for casual watching.3. It's more convenient to just watch something in the browser for plebs4. mobilefags
>>11I personally stream shows to see if I like them. If I do, I download them later.I have very particular tastes, and the vast majority of shows don't really grab me enough to continue watching past the first few episodes. I don't want to waste the time and/or hard drive space to download shows I'm never going to finish.
>>12>2. Some people would rather not have to download an entire series to their computer (or even an entire episode) that they may or may not ever return to. I think if that's going to be the attitude it would simply be better to not watch at all.
>>14Not everyone has 20TB of storage, I'm barely getting by with 2.
>>11For me personally, it's how I watched anime growing up. My first computer was a really shitty hand-me-down laptop with only a few gigs of memory, so I really couldn't afford to download much video. This meant that the only way I could watch anime in bulk back then was by streaming it.Of course, now that I'm an adult and we live in the future where a terabyte is considered small, I could easily download tons of shows, but I'm so used to watching anime in my browser that watching it in a dedicated video player feels wrong.
>>14How many shows have you bought a copy of? If you're a pirate, then there's no point in getting uppity. And if you're flush with cash you automatically get the moral high ground while penalizing guys like >>15.
>>17At least a few, but what does that have to do with it?
>>15It does not take 20TB
>>20I don't seed transcodes.
>>20Something tells me you don't download anything higher than 720p, and avoid BD releases.
>>22It's actually fairly consistent with my folders that contain a good amount of high resolution BD releases.
>>22Stop downloading Coalgirls.
>>24How Coalgirls realeses are so big anyway? They are ridiculous and don't even look better.
Like other anons have said, the comment section was it for me. Even back in the day all the big sites had closed down their comment sections, but such a blatantly illegal site with such a ming-boggling (100 million at least IIRC) following painted the Internet as such a lively place. Now it's sterile and dead. Cruising random shitty OVAs and seeing a genuine thought left by a random human being, not some bot...nothing so gold can stay
Just use ani-cli.
I really like Kawaiifu's floating comments. Unfortunately no one uses the site.
