Could we get an informative error message when a post is too long? I tried to make a longish post and it took me a while to figure out what was going wrong. Also, increasing the maximum post length would be nice, at least when there is SJIS involved. As it stands, there's some fine SJIS art that can't be posted.
You don't see a white page with "Post body was too long." when you submit a long post?I could make a javascript solution if you want that will tell you its too long before you submit.and sure I can increase the limits. Right now they are set at 4000 characters or 45 lines.Let me know what numbers you would prefer.
>>2Also posts on the front page get cut off at 20 lines with the>Comment too long. View thread to see entire comment.message. I can change that too if anyone wants.
>>2>You don't see a white page with "Post body was too long." when you submit a long post? No. I get picrelated.>Let me know what numbers you would prefer.Grabbed some random large looking SJIS art from >>jp/71 for reference[~]$ wc -m sjis.txt # Number of characters7484 sjis.txt[~]$ wc -l sjis.txt # Number of lines53 sjis.txt[~]$ wc -c sjis.txt # Number of bytes10761 sjis.txtIf someone can find out the character limit on 2ch, that might be a good value.
>>4Ah ok thanks for pointing that out, apparently when I added the japanese pages I forgot to pass the "lang" variable into the function that sends that "post too long" message. It should be working now.and I increased the limits to 8000 characters or 60 lines. Feel free to ask if you or anyone else wants it changed again.>If someone can find out the character limit on 2ch, that might be a good value.I agree, that would be a nice to know.
Also, since you titled this thread "Requests" do you mind if I just link it on the home page as the place where anyone can give site feedback?Although, I guess I should still build an actual form somewhere for feedback, bug reports at some point.
>>5thanks>>6>Also, since you titled this thread "Requests" do you mind if I just link it on the home page as the place where anyone can give site feedback?of course notgo ahead
>>4why do people use these fancy shell prompts? why not just a '; '?

Perhaps we could have replies shown next to the original post? I guess this is a matter of opinion, since a lot of more classic-style imageboards forgo it altogether.Just a suggestion, if people showed interest someone should make a strawpoll or something.

Can we have a next page link?sometimes I lose track of what page I'm on and click the wrong one.
Add the ability to move threads between others in th watcher, instead of just switching places, please.
I've got no real nitpicks (although a dark theme for the site would be nice). Just dropping in to say that this place is comfy as heck and I'll be dropping by frequently.
>>1When you fix filenames not appearing when they're too long, you should make spoilers mask the filenames, too.
I feel like there may be a lurker or two, so to anyone lurking: please post, we need this place to seem not dead (which it isn't).

Can you add an index of all boards
Taba-tan! Space permitting, would you be willing to increase the upload limit on /mu/? Also, what do you think about /mu/ becoming a main board?
>>30>would you be willing to increase the upload limit on /mu/?Please don't. If you go above the limit just reencode it.
>>30It's already 12MB. I really don't even think that's sustainable long term so I'm hesitant to increase it further.>Also, what do you think about /mu/ becoming a main board?I don't see why not
>>31,32Ah, fair enough. Didn't mean to be rude, I have absolutely no clue what that sort of thing demands of a server. >I don't see why notThank you!
Maybe "Watch" could switch to "Unwatch" when you click it so1. You know if you are already watching a thread2. If you accidentally watch a thread you can unwatch it immediately
SJIS board kudasai. Unless I should just make a thread on /jp/.

Each of the categories should have an alias; for example, something like /g/ or /comp/ would be equivalent to /hw+sw+pr/. Also the post form on a multiboard index should have a way to select the board your posting to.
>>39I disagree.
>>40 why?
>>39Wouldn't that make things more complicated for nothing? I feel like the boards are just fine right now.
