I get too attached to them despite them not being real. I'll feel bad if I stop playing the game and let it die.

I was thinking of making a digital pet style game but with a digital hikikomori instead.

He'd have a certain amount of energy that you replenish by resting or eating food, and doing things like getting up to go to the bathroom drains energy. If you ever run out of energy he just lies there unable to move as his HP slowly drops to 0.

Tangentially related, I've been playing Monster Rancher Advance. It's a decent raising sim, my only complaint is that many of the things in the game aren't explained at all.

I was pretty into Neopets back in the day.
Unfortunately my old account seems to be gone due to inactivity. What a shame.

I've been feeling npstalgic for Digimon Adventure, and eventually wanted to try something like the V-pet, as I never had one, so I tried this phone app called 'VoxelMonster' out. I've been enjoying it, taking the growth process slow and just chexking every so often.
