So far, I watched Occult;Nine - I don't like it much but it feels different, and I'm interested in the direction it's gonna go in (hopefully it's not a second Zvezda). I have yet to watch Hibike's first season, despite its' praise by /a/nons.

I might pick up Yuri; I know it's not correct to judge series by the studios they're released by, but I have faith in MAPPA.

Long Riders.. I don't really know. I am a long-distance cyclist myself, but I hated it. It feels like it's aimed at people who just wanted cute girls doing their stuff in a different situation (I have to say, though, New Game wasn't half bad). "I forgot to eat, and I rode a lot, tee-hee~!". What was the name of that other cycling anime, anyway? I heard there were going to be two of them this fall.

What didn't you like about Occultic;Nine? I felt that it succeeded in introducing so many characters in one episode, it never skipped a beat and slipped in a few easily half-way solved mysteries.

Nothing.
I still have to watch my bookmarks of the previous 2 seasons and there's no show that caught my attention this season.

I'll just ask around which shows were good when this season is over.

I guess the characters being OVERLY genki, and the damn breast character. I watched Yuri and it was a really, really pleasant - even though I am not a fudanshi. The character interactions are pretty interesting, the direction (both visual and written), and as I expected, MAPPA didn't disappoint much in the visuals department. Yes, it looks a tad worse than ZnT, but I believe that is due to the simpler artstyle they're using. The backgrounds and the general atmosphere are very well done, too. The scene where Yakov and Viktor part feels straight out of a classic russian drama movie.
