It makes me feel sad and happy. The anime is about the wonderful variety you can see and explore in the world, while also very keenly showing the defects of society.

>AN AMAZING ANON ON /g/ MADE A BACKUP SITE AND ANOTHER JUST DELIVERED AN ALMOST UP TO DATE (1 MO) DATABASE BACKUP OF NYAA AND SUKEBEI

>ITS FUCKING HAPPENING, TORRENTING IS SAVED

>https://nyaa.pantsu.cat and https://sukebei.pantsu.cat/ should both work.

So, how do you guys feel about this?
I'm the kinda guy who only downloads before watching, so this is a good thing for me, since I didn't have much left before I was about to look through my backlog and get something new. But that also means that, even though it'd be a good idea, I'm not really keen on going to the new site and starting to download and seed stuff.

The sites are less than a week old so that's not possible. And the DBs are up to date, too.

Why not?

I was quoting the guy who's post on /a/ I copied and pasted here.
And I'm just not the kind of guy who stockpiles, though I know I should be. I'll be downloading and seeding when I decide what to download and seed.

Good to know. I never usually downloaded from nyaa, but the fact that one of the biggest Western torrent anime communities is back in business can only be positive.

Diana deserves more screen time.
»
14 Anonymous 1969-12-31T17:00:00
I kinda feel like the side characters are more interesting than Akko, like Diana or that handsome inspector, or some of the teachers were better than her. Some of her actions felt pretty irritating, and probably that's one of the reasons I dislike Akko.
Also, people have been saying that OVA was better, is this true?

This, Constanze and Sucy, despite having very few lines, seem way more interesting to me than Akko. Akko really doesn't have any motive other than "I want to be like Chariot!", she never really learns anything new or gains insight, she just keeps being an idiot and stuff works out because Ursula likes her.

Her name is Shirasaka Koume and she's from iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls. I have not watched IMCG and I heard that Koumechan gets like no screen time anyway. But something about her character design makes me really happy.

13 Anonymous 1969-12-31T17:00:00
By the way, if you have $50 or so to spend on manga (Amazon US), the viz 3-in-one books are really good. They translate some interviews with the artist, and Asuka's Japanese and English VAs and some others I think. The pages are acid-free, I think, and really fuckin big. They keep sound effects translation in a golassary in the back so they don't fuck up the art.

The story matches up with the series for a few volumes, then it steers pretty far off course. Mini spoiler: the ending is much more hopeful. The manga took almost 20 years to finish because the mangaka (also character designer for the anime) only did it "part time".

It actually costs 100 USD or so to get all the 3-in-one books, I checked last night.
But I see.

That's awesome! That's what I really want. The more original stuff, the better.
