I'm here to draw maids doing maid things, with an eye to simplicity and lowliness. I don't draw fancy maids with frills bows , but hardworking blue collar girls. I find that sort of thing to be cute in a relatable way, and I like infusing my work with a friendly, approachable vibe. I hope this is communicated in the works I'll be posting in this thread.
Be sure to take off your shoes and keep the floor clean, fair guests!
Please use this thread to report bugs and give feedback. You may also start a thread on >>>/meta/, even though it's not an official board we will most likely still see it.
Feel free to also report issues directly on our GitLab:
Since 8/jp/ doesn't need this site any more and since there's hardly anyone here, there's no harm in changing things up in crazy ways. I originally started making this just to experiment with various features anyway.
I've had a few ideas.
For starters, big imageboards tend to be more like chatrooms, and although I haven't used a forum in forever I still think there's some value in the slower feeling of forums. So one idea might be to slow down the speed of an imageboard by only serving a static board that doesn't show live posts. People can view the old posts and make replies all day, but the replies don't show up until some fixed time every 24 hours (or every 6 hours or whatever) when the entire site updates to display all the new posts that were made in that period.
This way you could just come and check out the site like once or twice a day instead of having the feeling of being stuck constantly checking threads for new replies. If a big imageboard behaved that way I wonder if it would encourage people to spend more time creating interesting content or coming up with original thoughts of their own before posting, and also cool down hot heads so arguments will probably be much shorter lived.
Another idea might be to have something like 2 channels for each thread, side by side. One would be for lower quality comments, arguments, or things you want to say to one person that isn't relevant to the whole thread (sort of similar to when you sage your post knowing that it doesn't deserve to bump the thread), and the other channel for things that you think everyone should see. Of course this wouldn't be moderated at all or anything, it would just be up to each poster to decide which one to use.
If anyone has any other interesting or weird ideas I'd like to hear them too, or let me know what you think of the 2 above.
Kissu is down for scheduled maintenance. In the meantime you've been redirected here.
12:00 EST > site redirected to 4taba
18:00 EST > I finish backing files up
19:00 EST > Server is wiped
00:00 EST > Server is running with all files, redirect is removed, possibly able to post on the site again.
12:00 EST > Server is full restored and everything back to normal
Realism should stay in fine art. The style is too complex and cluttered to work for the more descriptive mediums of illustration and animation, and trying to compromise with semi-realism a-la American comics just results in the worst of both worlds, having neither the rich detail and vividness of realism, nor the clarity and flexibility of abstraction.
As someone suggested( >>163 ), I'll be adding a thread-archive-download-page to a taba subdomain later today or tomorrow as soon as I figure out how to output tar.gz archive stuff into the response for downloads.
I've used the idea to teach myself some golang for an API server I'm going to write so it's likely not going to be a continuously developed thing.
Doomo, new 4Taba.

Let's discuss interactions with police enforcement. Specifically, I would like us each to seek the exact truth, be skeptical about everything posted,, so that reading these data shall be sufficient to understand exactly each possible interaction with police enforcement.
"Somewhere in the concrete jungle - an impossible infrastructure from a time before history - there exists a network of blossoming civilizations at near constant war. For a long time the Milkmoon family ruled all by fear from their castle built on top of an ancient bunker. Using the knowledge found there they built themselves mechanical bodies. About 5 years ago the dragon people of the northern city Burmat found another repository of technology and built tools and vehicles, but they didn't keep their findings secret and now every wealthy city has the means to challenge the Milkmoons. Loyalist forces have kept them at bay so far, but just barely.
In this world each who learns has the capacity for simple magic like pyromancy and illusion, but another kind of magic lurks in the jungle. An old, cynical magic, one so subtle that it's lain unnoticed since the fall of the old world. Long has it been quiet, but as the cities grow they encroach on desolation. As new technology heals misery, misery grows jealous and the concrete begins to stir..."
...Welcome to 4taba RPG! This game is an experiment, so the rules may grow or change as it becomes necessary. I've never done this before so feel free to suggest improvements. All you need to know to play is as follows...
i) Decide your first skill. This could be anything, like theft, cookery, bartering, swordplay, ventriloquism etc. You will be able to pick up new skills during the adventure, probably.
ii) Assign experience points. You start with 50xp to assign to...
STR: Strength, good for violence and other things
DEX: Dexterity, helps to dodge things and move fast
CHR: Charm, social skill and likability
[Skill 1]: Replace with chosen skill. Must be at least 5.
HP: Health, must be at least 5.
You also have a DEF stat for passive defense, which starts at 0 and is entirely determined by your gear.
iii) Draw a picture or write a physical description.
iv) Write a backstory. It doesn't have to be much, just enough to get to know them.
An action is anything that involves interaction with the world, like traveling, fighting, talking (to NPCs) and examining. If the action depends on your stats, the GM will roll to see how you do. E.g.:
> P1: I distract the shopkeep with the story of how we defeated the wolfmen
>GM: #1d20+5CHR = 7 vs #1d20+12INT = 24 ::: 29% effect
>GM: Your nerves get the better of you, you try to talk but all that comes out is "I killed a dog". The shopkeep looks away in shame and immediately notices your friends stuffing packs of crisps into their jackets.
Actions will be executed by the GM in the order they're posted once or twice a day (maybe faster if this picks up). Multiple actions can be contained in a post (move), and once your move has been executed by the GM you can move again.
The game will start when we have three or four players. If you're reading this in the future and want to join in we can probably figure something out.

Let's get an erotica board going. Not pornography---keep it tasteful (and delicious); e.g. https://chan.sankakucomplex.com/post/show/15735351 satisfies the ``tastefulness'' criterion (not quite a deliciosity).
So I was thinking maybe I could run a quest, here with 4tabbers! I think it'd be a good writing practice and a fun one at that. Partially because I'm too stage-frightened to run it at 4chan's /qst/ but I didn't tell you that.
Now I'm really not much more than an aspiring writer and a beginner at that, which is to say overall quality may be severely inadequate. Very little about this quest is set in stone as of now (e.g. it's just a loose idea as of now), and very little may come of it (if at all). But I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.
About the (hypothetical) quest, though. First off, the (basic) idea of the story: It would be set in the STALKER videogame universe (inspiration comes from different places, sorry), featuring a less-than-merry gang of misfits. They would be sent on what was effectively a suicide mission to retrieve information from a research team that they had lost contact with, and would then be trapped in a certain place with no clear form of escape. Danger would soon ensue. I don't think much knowledge of the games would be needed, so no worries there.
There'd probably be about eight main characters, nothing more, and I'd probably feature some of them at different times: They'd probably initially split up due to reasons, and that way I can have plenty of drama AND monologues! Mechanics-wise it'd be pretty no-frills, as it'd probably be better as a story-focused quest anyway. I don't think it'd feature much shooty unlike the game, just more spooks and the supernatural and stuffs.
I get the feeling this is an incredibly stupid idea for some reason, but as mentioned, I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask. I'm just wondering if anyone would be interested in this hypothetical thing, that's all.
Is there anything that makes you fear more for your life?
Let's try our hand at this. I know there are a lot of wizards here filled with imagination and creative impulses but it can be quite hard to start a thing on your own, to carry all the process by yourself. Having no direction or initial spark to work with can be a huge impediment as most of us here know. This thread is an attempt to fix that, giving you an initial buildup to start with. There will be a few rules in order to keep things from getting too wild and out of hand but other than that you can do whatever your heart desires. I'm planning this thread to have several projects, the first one will be a test run to see what works and what doesn't. It's actually quite simple. I'll write down the beginning of a story. Some characters, some events, a place where things are going to happen. From that you can pick whatever you want and add to it. We'll try to write a story together here, plain and simple.
First thing is, don't be shy. If you have any idea you want to add, post it. If you want to post a finished paragraph or several, you're most welcome. If your idea is not polished or put into narrative format and you just want to brainstorm a bunch of events, characters or whatever, you can do that too. No idea is too big or small. If you're feeling insecure about the tone you should take or if it should be in dialogue or plain narrative, just take a deep breath and write like you would be telling your idea to an acquaintance. Keep it simple if you like and try to get your idea across. Other wizzies will come and eventually work things up. Second thing is, don't get too attached to the stuff your adding here. People will come and change it and some times you may not like it. But here's the cool thing. Now you have a direction to what you want to do, and you can keep writing, on your own or in here. The important thing is that the story keeps going and we all can have some fun and distract ourselves from life a bit.

Greetings. My name is _______. I like to draw things.
I especially have a soft spot for imageboard-inspired emoticon-ish drawings for reasons even I fail to know. I felt like posting some scribbles on here because the spot seemed cozy and quiet. Making an unlisted board since there doesn't seem to be room for my sort of tomfoolery on the others.

I'm fascinated by obscure and forgotten TV music videos. Stuff like MTV's Party Zone and Chillout Zone, VIVA's Berlin House, and unknown channels from smaller and less known countries. The aforementioned are predominantly for 90s and 00s electronic music; obviously this extends to more than just electronic music from that particular time period - there are obscure music videos for rock, hip-hop, metal, 80's EBM, New Beat, Industrial, even big label pop acts that flopped and were swept away by the winds of time; but electronic music happens to be my interest and it seems to be the richest and most well documented of all. What's more, it's a great method to discover obscure and forgotten acts that might've slipped past RYM and Discogs lists and radars.
Here are some youtube channels that upload obscure-ish music videos (predominantly of the electronic kind)
General vintage music videos
Chinese channels that put up eurodance and europop videos sometimes contain forgotten and unknown stuff amongst their uploads
Labels like SKINT and 4AD occasionally put up videos by their artists on their youtube channels.
Below I'll post some selected cuts.
Don't know if this is the board this belongs in, but this news should be relevant to most if not all of the board's users. In case you weren't keeping an eye on things, 8kun is the new name they decided to relaunch 8ch under.
Bottom domain is under heavy load at the moment, it's recommended that you use the Tor site instead.

Everyone seems pretty divided about modern cartoons. Depending on who you ask we're either in a new golden age or in a new dark age. I feel like I'm the only one who thinks it's somewhere inbetween.
The likes of Steven Universe or Adventure Time really don't measure up to what was being done in the late 80s through the early 2000s, but at the same time they easily beat the garbage that was being churned out in the 60s through the early 80s.
Please know that threads lost during a board transfer can NOT be accounted for unless their body is recovered.

Is it just me or is this site getting a lower amount of posts everyday? I always check here after work and today there's only been about three or four posts. I know this is one of the niche IBs hipster kids click on when they browse creamy's list and then forget about forever but still, imageboards are most active during the summer. If this is the amount of people that use this site in July I fear how many posts there will be in a few months
Inspired by the random thoughts thread
Cartoons were at their best from the mid 80s through the early 2000s. If you want a definitive range, it would probably be 1987-2005, although there were good shows made both before and after, just far less frequently.
I liked OK K.O a lot, but I can 100% see how it flopped. It was an otaku oriented show on a network who's primary demographic is teens who probably didn't get half the things the show was referencing. It also had a very funky art style that I know for a fact turned off a ton of people who would have probably otherwise loved it.
People like filmation cartoons and that's mystery to me. All their cartoons looked like dogshit and had even worse writing. He-man is a particularly bad one, yet it seems to be the most popular of their shows. Why?
I frequently see people calling the current popular style "the thing that's killing western animation" and how everything would be better if we got rid of it. This is a very backwards way of thinking. Western cartoons got worse because of a dwindling number of genres and styles, and replacing the current dominant style with another one would only briefly distract from what is a much bigger underlying issue.
Most of Netflix's animated shows have been really freaking good. The internet is predisposed to dislike them though because of that thing the modern web does where if someone fucks up once or twice they're always bad forever.
I've come to make an announcement; Shadow The Hedgehog's a bitch ass motherfucker, he pissed on my fucking wife.
Thats right, he took his hedgehog quilly dick out and he pissed on my fucking wife, and he said his dick was "This big" and I said that's disgusting, so I'm making a callout post on my twitter dot com, Shadow the Hedgehog, you've got a small dick, it's the size of this walnut except WAY smaller, and guess what? Here's what my dong looks like: PFFFT, THAT'S RIGHT, BABY. ALL POINTS, NO QUILLS, NO PILLOWS. Look at that, it looks like two balls and a bong.
He fucked my wife so guess what? I'm gonna fuck the Earth. THAT'S RIGHT THIS IS WHAT YOU GET, MY SUPER LASER PISS!
Except I'm not gonna piss on the earth. I'm gonna go higher. I'M PISSING ON THE MOON!
HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT, OBAMA? I PISSED ON THE MOON YOU IDIOT!
YOU HAVE 23 HOURS BEFORE THE PISS DROPLETS HIT THE FUCKING EARTH NOW GET OUT OF MY SIGHT BEFORE I PISS ON YOU TOO.
Lost Media forums rejected me so I've come here as a last resort. Does anyone remember an Amazing World of Gumball parody around 2012-2013 on YouTube called "The Shyrocket"? It was basically like a ZONE flash animation where it took some audio from one episode and animated it into porn. It was around ten seconds long and Harold (https://theamazingworldofgumball.fandom.com/wiki/Harold_Wilson) was poking Gumball's tiny unerect cat penis. I tried deviantART, furaffinity, lots of porn sites and inkbunny to no avail.
Seperate traditions in these fields only ever existed to begin with because of an inability for different cultures to communicate. Ever since the internet became a thing and removed the gap caused by geography, this divide has had no reason to exist outside of humanity's obsession with vestigial "we've always done it this way so it must be the best" type garbage
This though came to me when I saw a youtube comment that said "it's unfair to compare American and French animation traditions". What fucking unique tradition does France have in animation? All of it is drawn directly from America and Japan, both of whom borrow from eachother constantly.
It would be way smarter for us to simply look at culture as one giant whole. Every idea should be compared to every other idea, and anyone should be able to pick up any influence from anywhere
What are /all/'s thoughts on the official Newgrounds Player? For those not in the know, basically Newgrounds has their own flash player so all of their old interactive flashes stay interactive; for more info, click here https://www.newgrounds.com/flash/player
